Clinical Artificial Intelligence-based Diagnostics (CAIDX)
There has been a rapid increase in development of innovative applications of diagnostic Artificial Intelligence (AI) within healthcare however, the path to implementation has proven difficult both for hospitals, AI developers and service providers. An improvement in the collaboration between developers and clinicians as well as the understanding of legalities surrounding how to handle Artificial Intelligence can bring solutions to these barriers.
Objectives
The purpose of CAIDX consortium is to create and explore guidelines and inspiration to support both the development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence for Hospitals in the Baltic Sea Region.
The goals of the CAIDX consortium besides encouraging collaboration when developing AI-technology are to:
- Create guidelines for contracting and co-developing AI-technology within a legal frame
- Promote the adoption of AI-technology by creating guidelines for implementation and change management
- Collect best practices for development of and regulatory paths for hospitals and companies working with Artificial Intelligence
By the end of the project these guidelines and tools will be free to use on an open platform where information about adoption of AI will also be offered.
